Emmerdale spoilers follow from Thursday's episode (March 20), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn't yet aired on ITV1.

Emmerdale's Joe Tate faces his worst nightmare in Thursday's episode as his long-time rival Ross Barton seizes an opportunity to keep an eye on him.

Joe is horrified as Ross bags himself a new job as 'head of security' at Home Farm, which will make him a regular fixture around the estate.

The drama plays out after Ross discovers that village newcomer Kammy has got up to no good by stealing one of Kim Tate's horses.

Ross takes the animal back but is caught red-handed by Kim, who points a gun at him and demands an explanation.
