Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale newcomer Anthony Fox has shared his cancer diagnosis in emotional scenes.
Anthony first appeared in the Dales earlier this month, shocking his estranged daughter Ruby Fox-Miligan.
Ruby's daughter Steph, who also made an unexpected arrival recently, set up the unwelcome reunion at the café.
While Anthony tried to explain himself to his daughter, Ruby announced that she wanted nothing to do with him and stormed out, despite her husband Caleb believing that his father-in-law was genuine.

Tonight's (November 29) episode saw Steph reveal that Anthony wanted him to call her, leaving Ruby confused.
After travelling from Portsmouth, Anthony called round at the Miligan house to apologise to Steph for sounding "distracted" on the phone.
"There's something I need to tell you," he said, with a worried Steph then asking: "Good or bad?"
"I had all this rehearsed but now my mind's gone blank," Anthony explained, before informing his granddaughter that he had been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer.

"The good news is that I can live with it. For how long, who knows?" Anthony continued.
"It started with a blood test and I got the results when I was away. I didn't know how to tell you. I dreaded making you feel like this."
As a heartbroken Steph began to cry, Anthony revealed that he had considered not telling anyone, as it was a "horrible shock".
Steph then promised that she would be there for Anthony, and shared her hopes that this would help to build bridges between him and Ruby.
After getting an early blood test, Anthony said he was "grateful" to have time to make "peace" with his daughter.

Later, Ruby refused to speak to Anthony on the street, leaving Steph with no choice but to share the news of her grandad's diagnosis. After learning the news, Ruby said that she needed a "moment" and quickly walked away.
"I knew it would be like this. She's never been good around illness," Anthony shared, before Steph assured her grandfather that Ruby was in "shock" and would eventually come around.
Back at the house, Caleb and Steph tried to talk things through with Ruby, explaining that they thought it was time for her to clear the air with her father.
"I don't think I can," Ruby then confessed. Will she be able to put her differences aside and sort things out with Anthony?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
