Emmerdale's Ruby Fox-Miligan violently lashes out at her daughter Steph next week as they clash over the past.
Show bosses have cast Georgia Jay in the role of Steph, who's a new character for the ITV soap.
Next week's episodes see Ruby left stunned by Steph's sudden arrival in the village. Aware that they have lots to discuss, she sends her husband Caleb away so they can talk things through properly.
One issue on Ruby's mind is the recent revelation that her late mother Helen was in contact with Steph before she died.

Ruby tries to find out further details about these secret meetings, but Steph is more interested in talking about her dysfunctional childhood and how Ruby was a bad mother.
Hurt by Steph's home truths, Ruby loses her temper and slaps Steph. She immediately regrets her behaviour and tries to apologise, but Steph sees her outburst as yet more proof that Ruby never cared about her.

Later, Ruby ponders over events from the past and tries to convince herself that Steph did have a good childhood.
Caleb tries his best to reassure Ruby, but there's a sense that his wife is still hiding something.
Steph ends up agreeing to go for a coffee with Ruby so they can make another attempt to sort things out, but will this be possible?

Emmerdale bosses announced the arrival of Ruby's family members earlier this month.
Hot on the heels of Steph, Ruby's father Anthony turns up next week too. Minder and The Crown actor Nicholas Day has been cast in this role.
Emmerdale's producer Sophie Roper recently said: "We're delighted to be welcoming Nicholas and Georgia to Emmerdale as part of the Miligan family.
"With so much yet to discover about Ruby, the arrival of her father and daughter will unlock her past and see Ruby and Caleb tested in ways we've never seen before.
"With two actors of such great calibre, they're certainly set to make their mark on the Dales."
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, November 18 on ITV1 and ITVX.
