Emmerdale spoilers follow from Friday's episode (November 29), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn't yet aired on ITV1.

Emmerdale villain Tom King has made a concerning threat following his dramatic arrest.

Tom confided in his solicitor Ollie in the closing moments of Friday's episode, vowing to keep tormenting his wife Belle from afar.

Belle finally triumphed over Tom this week as she helped the police to thwart his plan to escape justice by fleeing the country.

After DS Foy and his team found Tom trying to board a ferry, he was arrested and held on remand for breaching his bail conditions.

As the dust settled in Friday's episode, those affected by Tom's crimes were left to pick up the pieces.

Tom's girlfriend Amelia Spencer and uncle Jimmy King both expressed their bitter regrets over how they'd stayed loyal to him for so long.

They both received a generous response from Belle and her family, who encouraged them not to blame themselves for being fooled by an expert manipulator like Tom.

At the end of the episode, Tom received a visit from Ollie in prison and expressed his optimistic hopes that he could somehow win over Jimmy and Amelia again.

Dismissing Ollie's advice to simply plead guilty and face his punishment, Tom vowed to keep fighting and demanded to have visible supporters in court when his upcoming legal battle begins.

Tom said: "Amelia is just upset, so capitalise on that. Say that I'm missing her, I don't care, say anything. I just need her to be sat in that court, supporting her innocent boyfriend, preferably with her daughter."

He added: "It's me against Belle. She's not going to make a good impression on the jury and we are going to make sure of it. She thinks the nightmare's over. Well, it's just begun."

Can Tom find a way to regain control as the story enters its final chapter, or is he deluding himself?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
