Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Chloe Harris has revealed that she remembers the car crash after all in Emmerdale.

Earlier this week, Chloe woke up from her coma telling Mackenzie Boyd that she remembered "nothing" from being sent hurdling down a cliff in her car.

Mackenzie has desperately tried to hide that he had the chance to save Chloe seconds before the car dropped, but he chose to pull his estranged wife Charity Dingle from the wreckage instead.

In Friday's (October 20) shocking episode, Mack was getting ready to bring Reuben to the hospital when Matty complimented him for "really coming through" for Chloe since the crash.

"I do my best," Mack timidly answered.

Once Matty walked away, Mack shared the news with Charity that Chloe didn't remember anything about the accident.

"That's great for you. Phew," Charity quipped.

Charity insisted she'd put her feelings for Mack "firmly back in the box", but the heartbreak was etched on her face as he rushed off to visit Chloe.

At the hospital, Mack was warned by the medical staff that Chloe was experiencing distress over the accident since she didn't actually have to remember the event to "suffer psychological repercussions".

Mack tried to quiz the doctor on whether Chloe's memories of the crash would be lost forever, but was alarmed when he learned the situation was very much in flux.

"We'll just have to wait and see," he was told.

Once Mack joined Chloe at her bedside, she asked him to tell her the truth about what happened in the accident. Mack told a sanitised version of events where Chloe spun off the road after a hit-and-run.

"I couldn't reach you in time," Mack told her. "I've gone over that split second over and over."

Even his version of events seemed to trigger a memory for Chloe of the second before the car dropped, yet she insisted she couldn't remember anything beyond that.

"You're going to be okay. You're going to come home. You're going to get better," Mack assured her. "We're going to have the best life together, I promise."

Chloe then told him: "Thank you for trying to get me out."

Mack could have still come clean at that moment, yet he chose not to. Amy and Matty soon showed up with Reuben for a visit, and it appeared the family were finally all on the same page.

However, once Chloe was left alone with her son, she revealed she actually remembered that Mack had chosen to save Charity.

"We might have to get used to this, just the two of us what with daddy lying every time he opens his mouth," she told the baby. "Because mommy remembers, doesn't she?

"Yeah, [I remember] that daddy chose Charity and just left me to die."

Will Chlo take revenge on Mackenzie?
