Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has revealed Chloe Harris's fate after her car crash.
Earlier this week, Chloe was airlifted to safety for emergency medical treatment after somehow surviving after her car hurtled off a cliff.
Chloe reached out for Mack to help her seconds before the free-fall, but he chose to pull Charity from the wreckage instead. Later, Mack admitted to Charity he'd made his choice between them for a reason.
In Thursday's episode (October 12), Mackenzie was a bundle of nerves as he waited at the hospital for news about Chloe, who was undergoing emergency surgery.

When a doctor finally came to speak to him, Mack was heartbroken to learn that while Choe was out of surgery, she had been put into an induced coma and may have suffered brain damage.
"It's only a possibility," the doctor cautioned.
Mack begged for forgiveness when he was finally allowed to sit at Chloe's bedside, admitting he now wished he'd pulled Chloe from the wreckage first.
"I should have got to you first. I'm so sorry, please forgive me. I love you," he said, while weeping.
Amy was next to visit the unconscious Chloe and broke down as she promised the family would look after baby Reuben until she could come home.

Later, Charity and Mack were left alone to talk through what they'd been through. Charity insisted it "had to mean something" that Mack saved her before Chloe.
"No, it was a reflex," Mack insisted.
Charity disagreed, calling it "instinct". Will Chloe ever be able to forgive Mackenzie?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
