Emmerdale's Naomi faces trouble with Rhona next year

Naomi Walters and Rhona Goskirk are set to clash in upcoming Emmerdale episodes.

It will all start with April Windsor being given an injection of confidence from Naomi regarding her crush Arthur Thomas, who came out as gay earlier this month.

Despite this, April's dad Marlon Dingle and step-mum Rhona become exasperated over the youngster's new attitude and quickly link it to Naomi's influence, particularly as she starts wearing bright nail varnish.

A frustrated Naomi confronts Rhona about these unfair accusations and soon enough a heated argument breaks out between them.

Later on, Nicola King (who's still not willing to forgive Naomi in light of the recent court case) stirs things further about Naomi's negative influence on April to Rhona.

Elsewhere on the soap, Mandy Dingle has some "incredible" scenes on the horizon, with a potential Paddy Kirk reunion set to unfold.

"The whole nation wants to see Mandy and Paddy together," actress Lisa Riley said. "But it's soap, as you know, and we will keep this carrot dangling for a long time."

She went on to tease: "What I can tell you is I have an enormous storyline coming which starts in February – you can't see my dining room table for scripts right now. I'd even go as far as to say that it's probably my favourite storyline since I've come back to Emmerdale."
