Emmerdale actress Lucy Pargeter has revealed that she would love to film another live episode of the soap.

Back in 2012, Pargeter's Chas Dingle played an integral role in the 40th anniversary special, a live episode that saw Chas mistakenly think she’d killed Carl King – when it was Cameron who delivered the fatal blow.

A decade later, the cast and crew are reflecting on the past 50 years of Emmerdale.

Pargeter spoke to Digital Spy and other media about her time on the long-running soap and admitted that the live episode will always have a special place in her heart.

Pargeter has appeared on the ITV soap for the past 20 years, and has had a number of turbulent storylines. Yet, Chas’ recent affair with Al Chapman has been causing a stir amongst fans.

Chas has been cheating on her husband Paddy (Dominic Brunt) with Al (Michael Wildman), which comes after Chas has been struggling with the death of her mum, Faith (Sally Dexter).

"We all love a naughty boy, don't we?" Pargeter told Digital Spy and other media. "Genuinely people are not liking them together.

"You have got the cheerleaders for Al and Chas but we have definitely got the absolute haters for Chas and what she's doing to Paddy and the reasons behind it."

She added: "I hate what she's doing… Over the years the amount of stories that are given to you that are a massive gift to have, but not all the time do you believe it, not all the time do you justify it as yourself."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV, and streams on the ITV Hub.
