Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale airs emotional scenes for Paddy Kirk next week as he accepts that his relationship with Chas Dingle may be over.
The couple's future has been hanging in the balance for most of the year, as they've faced tensions over baby Eve and trouble after Chas came close to cheating with Al Chapman.
In next week's episodes, Paddy (Dominic Brunt) has finally lost hope and tells his father Bear Wolf that his relationship with Chas is now over.
Bear (Joshua Richards) is exasperated with Paddy's decision, believing that he's throwing away a genuine chance of happiness too easily.

However, Paddy is given food for thought by a comment that Al (Michael Wildman) makes, which shakes his steadfast attitude.
Paddy is also surprised when he overhears Chas telling Eve how much she loves him.

As Paddy feels the same way, will he admit this to Chas or let their future slip through his fingers?
Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chas, recently admitted that she'd be disappointed if the couple don't manage to work things out.
She said: "I think they work brilliantly together. As a couple, you've got two extreme sides.

"They're not, on paper, meant to be together but they work so well and they've been through so much. You should never stay in a relationship because you've been through so much, but they work brilliantly together.
"Paddy is great for Chas – he's the stability and the devoted partner that she's always needed. She just needs to work out in her head whether that's what she ultimately wants. But I'd be devastated as I absolutely love working with Dom."
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, November 9 at 7pm on ITV.
