Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale is set to explore some surprise chemistry between Chas Dingle and Al Chapman.
In upcoming scenes airing next week, the pair will experience a mildly flirtatious encounter after Chas has yet another argument with her partner Paddy.

Chas and Paddy recently fell out after the latter called the police twice over Kirin's return to the village. With Charity not wanting to involve the authorities, Paddy was accused of not putting the Dingles first.
Despite Aaron and Bear trying to find a way to get Chas and Paddy's relationship back on track, the couple will soon come to blows yet again.

Chas storms out, leaving Paddy to look after Eve. She heads to the Zen Gardens where she's amused to find Al hiding from Rishi behind a bush.
When Al, who is currently in a relationship with Priya, deduces that Chas is also hiding, she doesn't know whether to laugh or cry about the situation.
Al and Chas then harmlessly flirt as they discuss their relationships. When Al eventually heads off, it's pretty clear that Chas had a good time with him.

Later in the episode, on the anniversary of Grace's passing, a solemn Chas lays flowers at her grave as she thinks about the state of her relationship with Paddy.
