Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Dawn Taylor makes a bold move next week as she lets her father Will in on the secret that DI Malone is dead.

Dawn (Olivia Bromley) and Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) recently made a pact of silence after burying Malone's body in the village graveyard, but keeping the truth under wraps has been harder than they expected.

Next week, Will (Dean Andrews) becomes paranoid that he has seen Malone hanging around the village again.

Dawn tries to calm Will as she knows this is impossible, but she struggles to convince him that they're safe.

What to Read Next

Will takes steps to protect himself by securing a gun from an old friend. This infuriates Dawn, who reminds Will of the trouble he caused last time he brought a gun into the house.

When Will's fears become too much for Dawn to cope with, she finally snaps and tells her dad the truth.

Dawn explains that she shot and killed Malone a few weeks ago, but as she shares the story, she deliberately leaves Harriet's name out of it.

Harriet walks in on the conversation and is horrified to see that Dawn has dropped the bombshell on Will, without consulting her first.
