EastEnders spoilers follow for Tuesday’s episode (7 July), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.

EastEnders has aired a special episode surrounding the climax of Bea Pollard’s dramatic story, with Honey Mitchell taken hostage by the sinister villain. This week, Honey went to desperate measures to lure Bea back to Walford, after she framed Billy for her supposed murder.

But when Honey tracked Bea down following a vigil in the Square, a confrontation left her unconscious – with Bea bundling her into the back of a car.

In today’s episode, Honey woke up in a holiday cottage away from Walford the morning after the altercation, and as Bea made her breakfast, she realised that she was trapped.

Honey calmly tried to de-escalate the situation, but Bea forbade her from calling home. Trying a new tactic, Honey encouraged Bea to be honest, so she started revealing that she’d lied about elaborate stories from her past.

Meanwhile, Honey’s loved ones realised she was missing when Linda and Nicola each assumed she had stayed the night with the other. Billy tracked Honey’s phone to the allotments, and Linda then found the device smashed in a bush.

Billy was desperate to go out and search for Honey, and while Phil tried to stop him, Billy slipped out while his back was turned. Billy handed himself in at the police station and was arrested for murder, as he urged the officers to look for his wife.

Away from Walford, Bea was keen to start a new life in the country together with Honey in Fordwich, and told her to transfer £10,000 from the Minute Mart account to fund this escape.

Honey did as she was told, and Suki later realised that the money had been stolen. She headed to see Honey, but when she told Nicola and Linda about the theft, they were intrigued to discover that Honey had used the reference ‘Fordwich’, a village in Kent.

When a couple renting the cottage showed up, Bea locked Honey in a cupboard then made then leave. But in the meantime, Honey managed to get out and escaped the cottage through the window.

As Bea realised that she had lost her so-called best friend, Honey wandered along the road and was found by Nicola, Linda and Suki, who were searching for her.

With Bea missing, back in Walford Honey was interviewed by the detectives then reunited with Billy. However, the couple’s nightmare was far from over, as Bea got into the B&B and took Billy hostage using a blade.

Honey stepped up to save Billy’s life and lashed out at Bea, and during a violent confrontation the police arrived to arrest Bea for kidnap and perverting the course of justice.

As Bea left the Square in a police car, is this the end for the villain and is Honey and Billy’s ordeal finally over?
