EastEnders spoilers follow for Thursday’s episode (2 July), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
EastEnders has aired a shocking murder twist, as Bea Pollard makes her darkest move yet. As Honey Mitchell finally realises her best friend’s true intentions after uncovering information about her past, Bea’s latest scheme could leave Billy in serious trouble…
This week, Bea moved back in with Honey after carrying out a sinister plan that led Honey to believe Billy was having an affair or at least trying to cheat on his wife. Despite Billy and Will digging for evidence against Bea, Honey has taken her side – though when she was forced into a strange cleansing ritual, she began to question her friend.

Honey remained cordial with Bea in today’s episode and suggested that they have a family dinner together that evening. But when she took another look at Billy’s supposed dating profile, she realised it was written in a style unlike him – and rather like Bea.
Meanwhile, Billy’s idea of getting in touch with Bea’s old landlord proved useful, as he remembered a woman called Ruth who used to know her.

Honey and Nicola went to see Billy and Phil, where Honey admitted she had doubts about Bea. Billy said that Ruth had some things about Bea she wanted to tell him, but Honey and Nicola decided to meet her instead.
Ruth showed up and told Honey and Nicola that she and Bea used to be best friends, and Bea had similarly tried to break up her marriage and pushed her husband down some stairs. As Bea’s behaviour got more obsessive, she set fire to Ruth’s house – and her dog was killed in the blaze.
Elsewhere, Billy and Phil arrived at the house as a tense situation was unfolding between Bea and Will. While Phil took Will and Janet away, Billy and Bea were left alone for a dramatic showdown.

When Bea found out that Honey was meeting Ruth, she started to panic. She and Billy got into a confrontation and accidentally dropped the dinner on the floor, with the glass injuring Bea’s hand.
As Bea raged at Billy, he walked out of the house, warning her that he was going to call the police. But Bea used the situation as an opportunity; she continued to smash up the house, smeared cranberry sauce on the walls to look like blood, and phoned the police pretending that Billy was trying to kill her.
Honey and Nicola later returned to find the house in a mess and were met by the police – who were looking for Billy after receiving an allegation of serious assault.
The pair found Billy and the kids in the Boxing Den, and Honey broke the news to Billy that Bea has framed him for her murder. Where is Bea, and will innocent Billy face consequences?
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
