Former EastEnders star Jo Joyner has said goodbye to her blonde locks for her new role in Little Disasters.

Appearing on This Morning on May 21, Joyner, known for the role of Tanya Branning on the BBC soap, rocked a brunette, bouncy do.

The star sports the same hair colour as Little Disasters' Liz, an A&E doctor called to make a tough decision during a night shift.

Coming to Paramount+ in the UK on 22 May, the psychological thriller series revolves around a group of four tight-knit friends who met in antenatal class.

Joyner was last seen on the Square as Tanya in 2018 and has since weighed in on whether she'd like to return to EastEnders.

After ruling out a surprise appearance in 2019, the star gave soap fans a beacon of hope when she said she "would never say never" to a possible return in 2020.

"I would never say never, I really wouldn't," she said on the Distinct Nostalgia podcast at the time. "Because I'm so fond of that Branning family, and what they created and who they all might have become. Yes, I would [go back] one day."

While that hasn't happened (yet?), the soap has since brought back Tanya's daughter from her marriage with Max Branning, Lauren.

Little Disasters premieres on Paramount+ on 22 May.

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
