Coronation Street will air a car crash storyline for Simon Barlow and Sam Blakeman next year.
Alex Bain and Jude Riordan have been spotted filming on location for the scenes, which will air in early 2024.
The upcoming episode sees Simon agree to drive Sam to school as a favour to Leanne Battersby and Nick Tilsley.
While speeding to drop Sam off in time, Simon has an accident in the road.

The exact reason for the crash is currently unclear, although both Simon and Sam appear to make it out of the vehicle unscathed.
A panicked Simon can also be seen retrieving a brown envelope from the car, but fans will have to stay tuned to find out its importance to the storyline.

In the meantime, Coronation Street fans can expect a major change for Simon this Christmas as his dad Peter Barlow bows out from Weatherfield.
Peter's final scenes air on Boxing Day, as he decides to leave his wife Carla for a fresh start.
Alison King, who plays Carla, recently revealed that her character is the driving force behind Peter's choice as she realises he'd be happier away from the Street.
Alison told us: "Carla will obviously be thinking that she has to make the decision and carry on with her life as normal.

"It's that old saying, isn't it? If you love someone, you should let them go. That's really for both of them."
Discussing the Boxing Day episode – which focuses solely on Peter and Carla – Alison added: "Even though it doesn't go into specific details of all their past, it shows what they're like as a couple. It was really nice to have that much time on them because people seem to enjoy them just having a conversation.
"It was something to get our teeth into with all the emotions and it was a real journey. It was really, really lovely to do those scenes."
