Coronation Street star Georgia Taylor promises answers over Imran's death

Coronation Street star Georgia Taylor has promised that the mystery surrounding Imran Habeeb's death will finally be cleared up.

Imran lost his life in June when he was involved in a car crash while Georgia's character Toyah was driving them home.

Flashbacks later showed that Imran and Toyah were arguing at the time of the incident, but the exact cause of the crash was not revealed to viewers.

Toyah has been accused of Imran's murder and will stand trial in upcoming episodes.

In an exclusive chat with Inside Soap, Georgia teased the upcoming court drama: "At the crux of it is the question, 'Did she mean to crash the car?'

"Because we left out those crucial few seconds at the time, that's still to be explored, and you'll learn more during the trial week.

"Toyah might be too emotionally fragile to take the stand and could end up incriminating herself, and there might be some surprises as to who testifies against her.

"And don't get me started on Adam Barlow, he's been a right snake to Toyah. And after some of the stuff he's done!"

Asked what she'd like to see next for Toyah, Georgia replied: "Apart from her sister, Toyah is a Billy No Mates. She used to live with Fiz so I'd like them to reconnect – plus Jennie McAlpine who plays her is one of my best friends.

"I'm loving Jodie Prenger as Glenda, she's so vivacious – maybe she could bring some fun into her life? Toyah needs a laugh!"
