Corrie's Tyrone and Phill have awkward honeymoon trip

Tyrone Dobbs and Phill Whittaker have been forced to go on an awkward honeymoon trip on Coronation Street.

The two ended up going on the honeymoon Phill planned for Fiz Stape during Friday's (July 15) double bill because she left him at the altar last week.

Phill has no idea that Fiz had left him to get back with Tyrone. While he has insisted he'll stand in the way of a divorce if Fiz and Tyrone reconcile, he has also leaned on Tyrone for support.

At the Rovers in Friday's episode, Phil admitted to Tyrone that he needed a friend to come along with him on the honeymoon since it's already been paid for.

Tyrone would have rather been anywhere in the world, but Phill eventually made him feel guilty enough to agree to come along on the trip.

As the two set off for their trip, Kevin Webster had to stifle a chuckle at Tyrone's fate. The situation only got more awkward once the pals arrived at their honeymoon suite.

Phill and Tyrone opened the suite door to find romantic rose petals strewn across the room for newlyweds and a bottle of champagne for two on ice!

Midway through a facial treatment, Tyrone snuck away to call Fiz, explaining that it was not going well at all!

"He's locked himself in the shower, not come out since," he explained to Fiz.

Phill could be heard in the shower blubbering 'All By Myself' in the background.

Following the wedding disaster last week, Jamie Kenna hinted that Phill will be outraged once he discovers the truth about Tyrone and Fiz getting back together.

"I really think if he found out that it was anything to do with Tyrone, the double betrayal of that would be devastating," Kenna said. "It would be a double whammy because he's come to the street, and he's built a network but it's all around Fiz, and Tyrone has become a good friend.

"He's becoming a better friend by the day, he's helped to kind of manufacture this situation, he helped Phill find the engagement ring, he put in a good word, so if he was to find out that it was something to do with them two it would be a double loss and a huge double betrayal."
