Corrie's Phill asks Tyrone awkward favour after public shaming

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street's Tyrone Dobbs is finding himself in a sticky situation at the moment, as he's trying to keep his rekindled spark with Fiz secret from Phill Whittaker.

Last week, after Fiz and Phill's wedding, she went straight to Tyrone and they shared a kiss as she shared her true feelings towards him. She later went to Phill and told him that she doesn't love him, but kept the bit about Ty quiet.

Tonight's (July 13) episodes saw the kids learn that Ty and Fiz are back together, but that they need to keep it a secret until Phill has signed the annulment papers. Ty even promised Fiz that they'll go to couples' counselling in order to make things work for good this time.

In order to keep Phill from learning the truth, Ty has to keep him happy, which means going along with his increasingly embarrassing schemes to try and win Fiz back.

That meant Phill turning outside trying to recreate Love Actually – one of the romcoms from his VHS collection – by playing 'Silent Night' from a boombox and holding up some cards outside Underworld, publicly declaring his love. Unfortunately for him, his cards weren't in the right order, on top of the whole thing being hugely cringeworthy (at least Sally enjoyed it, though).

Phill later told Ty in the pub that he understands now that Fiz isn't interested in him, but Ty wasn't in the clear yet, as Phill asked for Ty to come with him on the honeymoon instead.

Understandably, the idea horrified him. But he still said yes, much to Fiz's annoyance.
