Coronation Street star Sam Aston announced in May that he and wife Briony were expecting their first child together.
And speaking to OK! magazine, the Chesney Brown actor has now revealed if they are due to welcome a boy or a girl.
He said: "We're having a boy! It was a massive surprise when we found out, as there are loads of girls in our families, so we were adamant we were having a girl."
"We found out the day before lockdown," Briony added. "Sam couldn't come with me because of the current rules, so I got the consultant to write the sex on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope and we both then sat in the car and opened it together. We were over the moon."

Sam said that he would like a big family, seeing as he is one of nine children and his Corrie character has a handful of kids as well, but they are happy with just the one for now. "I’m glad it's not quads," he joked.

The actor says that working with the Corrie quads (which is more like eight babies on the set) has helped him get confident around holding little ones, but obviously he isn't waking up in the night with them.

Sam also doesn't know when Corrie filming will resume, but he is looking forward to getting back to that kebab shop.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights at 7.30pm on ITV.
