Coronation Street favourite Sam Aston and his wife are expecting their first child together.
The news arrived via OK! online, with the Chesney Brown star excaliming:"We're so happy!".
Sam and his childhood sweetheart Briony tied the knot last summer at Cheshire's Stock Farm, before jetting off to the Maldives on their honeymoon.
The parents-to-be have known each other since their mid-teens, having "talked through MSN messenger" and eventually taking things to the next level.

Sam ended things after a while due to the long distance between them, but their flame was reignited after bumping into one another at the same drama workshop around four years later.

He recalled: "I was teaching and Briony was in the room next door. I think she might have given me a funny look when I first walked in, but we soon got past that and straight away we got talking.
"We went for a meal that night at a country pub and that was it. We've been together ever since."

Briony's pregnancy arrives at an ideal period for her husband, who's been spending a lot of time with babies on the Coronation Street set of late.
His character Chesney is now a father-of-four along with partner Gemma Winter.
Coronation Street currently airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV.
