Those lucky enough to attend Adele's three upcoming Wembley Stadium shows may well be seeing her last-ever concerts.

The 'Send My Love' singer's record-breaking tour has taken her all over the world in the last year, as she's constantly made us smile with her hilarious banter and tugged at our heartstrings.

As she embarks on her massive homecoming gigs at Wembley, Adele shared a letter to fans deep within the official programme at each gig.

In that letter, she writes: "So this is it after 15 months on the road and 18 months of 25 we are at the end.

"Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn't suit me particularly well. I'm a real homebody and I get so much joy in the small things. Plus, I'm dramatic and have a terrible history of touring. Until now that is!

"I've done 119 shows and these last four will take me up to 123, it has been hard but an absolute thrill and pleasure.

"I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favourite artists have had on me live.

"And I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don't know if I'll ever tour again and so I want my last time to be at home."

However, the singer left fans with at least some good news: "I will always write music and I will always put it out. And I hope that you're always here.

"I might never see you again at a live show. Who knows? But I will remember this for the rest of my life."

During her show last night, Adele also took the time to encourage fans to continue donating money for the Grenfell Tower appeal, two weeks after the devastating fire which has claimed at least 80 lives.

"I know that a lot of you have paid a lot of money to come here – I understand that and I appreciate that and I respect that," she told the crowd at Wembley. "But if we're here, we can afford to give £5."

Adele, who was spotted comforting people at a vigil and met some of the London firefighters who had helped save lives on the night of the fire, urged anyone who was unable to donate if they could keep talking about Grenfell, because she's worried it's "disappearing" from news headlines.

"Ask questions and demand answers – because it's f**king important, it's f**king important to do those things," she added.

"I promise you I will get the money directly to the people who lived in that tower, alright? I promise you I will."

Adele questioned her touring future from the stage in New Zealand back in March, so it truly seems as if she has significant reservations about performing, at least on such a massive scale, ever again.

If this really is the end, all we can say is thanks for the memories. Watch a classic moment from the 'Adele Live' tour below:
