Regretting You, the star-studded adaptation of Colleen Hoover's 2019 novel, has released an official trailer.

Slated for release on 24 October, the romantic drama follows the strained relationship between mother-daughter duo, Morgan (Alison Williams) and Clara Grant (Mckenna Grace), as they come to terms with a secret affair and a terrible tragedy in their family.

Rounding out the cast, Dave Franco (Together, The Studio), Scott Eastwood (The Longest Ride) and Willa Fitzgerald (Reacher, Pulse) appear in supporting roles. Meanwhile, Josh Boone, who famously worked on Stuck in Love (2012) and The Fault in Our Stars (2014), directs.

Brunson Green, an executive producer on the project, has teased what's to come. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, he said: "We've sprinkled in a lot more humour in this. I think it's a lot more accessible to wider audiences than just your typical Hoover-verse."

Flavia Viotti, a fellow EP, added: "I think we try to keep as close to the book as possible. We know Colleen Hoover has a strong fan base, and we don't want to disappoint them. But I don't think fans will be disappointed."
