Heads of State, the upcoming action comedy starring Idris Elba and John Cena, has released its first trailer.

The Prime Video film, which has been directed by Ilya Naishuller, sees the respective pair play the Prime Minister of the UK and President of the US, with the duo having to set aside their rivalry to save the world.

Ahead of the film's release on 2 July, Prime Video has released the first images and trailer that see Elba and Cena reunite following their previous work in the The Suicide Squad.

The clip begins with the pair meeting as they prepare for a joint speech addressed to the world, though the reunion quickly turns into a bickering match. With their chalk-and-cheese personalities established, sharing a flight is the last thing they want.

Unfortunately for them, the pair have to crack on and put on brave faces as they travel across the world, though the forced pleasantries are cut short after their jet is attacked. From there, it's guns-a-blazing as the pair fight for their survival.
