Something in the Water, starring Karen Pirie star Lauren Lyle, will be leaving Netflix UK very soon.
The streamer is removing the survival thriller on 20 August, which means you have less than one week left to watch it. The British film was first added on Netflix on 29 November last year, following its cinema release in July.
Directed by Hayley Easton Street, Something in the Water follows five women who decide to rent a boat to spend the day along the coast. However, things don't go as planned, as they get stranded in open water fighting for their lives against circling sharks.
Lyle is joined by Killing Eve's Hiftu Quasem, The Larkins actor Natalie Mitson, Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart and Nicole Rieko Setsuko.
The film received mixed reviews when it was released, and currently has a 46% rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes (from 26 reviews).
Although it has been described as "unmemorable" (via Total Film), other critics argued that it's "tense" and, even if it "can't claim to be a Jaws-calibre classic, it squares that particular circle very nicely indeed" (via The Guardian).
