The first trailer for Outlander star Lauren Lyle's new film has landed.

Something in the Water follows five friends as they gather for Lizzie's wedding, when disaster strikes.

The newly released trailer sees Lizzie (Lyle), Meg (Hiftu Quasem), Ruth (Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart), Cam (Nicole Rieko Setsuko) and Kayla (Natalie Mitson) head off on a boat trip to a remote island, when one of them is suddenly bitten by a shark.

And so begins a battle for survival.
