Netflix has a new British psychological thriller on the way based on a bestselling book that you will want to keep an eye out for.
The Woman in Cabin 10 is adapted from the bestselling novel by Ruth Ware – originally published in 2017 – which was described as "terrifically tense" by Good Housekeeping.
Starring Black Doves' Keira Knightley, the story follows a journalist on a luxury yacht who sees a passenger being tossed overboard, and is determined to get to the truth despite no-one believing her.
The film version comes from director Simon Stone (who helmed 2021's The Dig), and has been adapted by Stone alongside Snake Eyes writers Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse.
"Cabin 10, at its heart, is about a woman who experiences something wrong, reports it truthfully, and isn’t taken seriously because of who she is," Ware explained to Tudum. "Too many people know what that feels like and I think we want vindication for ourselves as much as Lo."

She also explained that the story remains relevant as "the fear of not being believed is perennial, unfortunately".
Speaking further about her book being adapted, Ware said: "I’ve said in acknowledgements before that it takes a village to make a book, but what I learned going on set for Cabin 10 is that it takes a whole town to make a film – it’s truly amazing seeing so many people working so hard on something you created.
"It’s also a big leap of faith, of course – like handing your baby over to strangers. But I feel Lo and company are in good hands," she added, admitting that seeing it all play out was a "very strange feeling – almost like a superpower".
The movie comes from production company Sister, which is behind the likes of Black Doves and Good Grief, and has been produced by Ilda Diffley (Mrs Harris Goes to Paris), Ellen Goldsmith-Vein (The Maze Runner) and Debra Hayward (Back to Black), with Richard Hewitt (Bohemian Rhapsody) executive producing.
