New spy thriller The Amateur is trending in the UK after releasing on steaming service Disney+.
The film stars Rami Malek as a timid geek working for the CIA, who decides to take matters into his own hands when his wife is murdered.
However, he's not cut out for typical spy shooting and action, so he uses his technical know-how to create a series of elaborate traps for his targets.
Following its release earlier this month, the film is now tending as the most-watched on Disney+ in the UK and worldwide.

Among the complimentary write-ups The Amateur received, IGN said that the film "mixes the throwback feel of an old-school spy story with an engaging scenario about a tech-savvy CIA analyst thrust into the field for decidedly dark reasons". The review added: "The direction and a strong cast help sell this vibe and make for an entertaining time."
Deadline stated: "It really becomes Jason Bourne for nerds and as such stands right up there with Bourne as one of the more exciting spy thrillers in many years". It added: "At least one that is different and emotional with a nice human touch to it."

At Digital Spy, we wrote: "You might know exactly where The Amateur will end up, but that doesn't stop it being a gripping mission along the way."
In a more mixed review, The Daily Beast stated that the film was "Unsurprising from start to finish and yet proficiently executed thanks to its impressive cast", dubbing it "the definition of serviceable".
But if the film's performance on streaming wasn't enough proof that fans enjoyed the film a lot more than critics, its average user score on Rotten Tomatoes is a much higher 88%.
The Amateur is available to stream now on Disney+.
