Netflix has set a release date for folklore monster horror sequel Troll 2.
The Norwegian hit — the streamer's most watched non-English movie with 103 million views — debuted on the platform in 2022, following a group of people coming together to stop the titular creature.
Now, a second movie is on the way, set to roll onto Netflix on 1 December.
The snowy sequel will see director Roar Uthaug (Tomb Raider) reunite with lead star Ine Marie Wilmann as Nora Tidemann, Kim Falck as Andreas Isaksen, and Mads Sjøgård Pettersen as Captain Kristoffer Holm.
The characters are joined by newcomer Marion, played by Sara Khorami, with the upcoming adventure seeing them confront a terrifying threat in the form of a brand new troll.

"I am beyond proud of how audiences around the globe connected with the first Troll film far beyond what we imagined," Uthaug said in a statement.
"With the sequel, we are aiming high - expanding the scope, deepening the story, and creating a troll-sized spectacle like you've never seen before. I cannot wait for fans to experience the adventure we have in store."

"Diving into the Troll adventure was incredibly fun the first time around, and we were absolutely amazed by its global success," Wilmann commented.
"It is with great respect and excitement that I embarked on creating the sequel. I hope and believe that people will enjoy more of what they appreciated last time. We certainly had a fantastic time making Troll 2, and we are really looking forward to sharing it with the world."
The sequel is produced by Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud, who promise "an even better, bigger, funnier, and more adventurous" film with Troll 2.
The follow-up is written by Espen Aukan, from a story by Aukan and director Uthaug.
Troll 2 will become available to stream on Netflix on 1 December. Troll is available on the same platform now.
