As we wait for Cillian Murphy to return in the Peaky Blinders movie, we'll be able to see him on Netflix this October in his new movie Steve.
Netflix has confirmed that Steve will be released on the streaming service on Friday 3 October, following a limited release in select cinemas in September.
The '90s-set drama is based on Max Porter's Sunday Times bestseller Shy, which was described as a "real gut-punch, but with sunlight lurking behind the clouds" by Richard Osman.
It was a story that Murphy previously said "just broke my heart", leading him to adapt it for the screen with his production company Big Things Films, which he founded with long-time collaborator Alan Moloney.
Along with the release date, Netflix also unveiled the first-look image of Murphy in the movie, as well as confirming extra cast members including Tracey Ullman, Simbi Ajikawo and Emily Watson, reuniting with Murphy after Small Things Like These.

Murphy also takes on the lead role of headteacher Steve who, during a pivotal day, fights to protect the integrity of his last-chance reform school and deals with its impending closure, while he's grappling with his own mental health.
At the same time, troubled teen Shy (played by Jay Lycurgo) is caught between his past and what lies ahead as he tries to reconcile his inner fragility with his impulse for self-destruction and violence.
The movie is a reimagining of Porter's original story which followed Shy instead of Steve. It was Porter's idea to flip the perspective, and Murphy previously said that we'll see the "same events happen, we're just looking at them through a different lens".

Roger Allam, Ruby Ashbourne-Serkis, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Douggie McMeekin, Youssef Kerkour, Luke Ayres and Joshua J Parker are also among the cast members announced today for the movie.
If you just can't wait for Steve to land on Netflix for a Cillian Murphy fix, it was recently confirmed that Oppenheimer will be coming to the streaming service in the UK and Ireland next month.
Steve will be released in select cinemas in September and on Netflix on Friday 3 October.
