Glen Powell has shared an exciting update on the upcoming remake of the 1987 action film The Running Man, revealing that filming has wrapped.

Taking to Instagram, Powell shared a picture of himself beaming alongside director Edgar Wright while holding a giant Running Man movie slate.

He captioned the post: "That’s a picture wrap on 'The Running Man'. All my love and appreciation goes out to our incredible cast and crew who have worked tirelessly on it.

"Can’t wait for the rest of y’all to see what we’ve been shooting…. Much more coming soon!"

From Hot Fuzz and Baby Driver director Wright, the remake sees Powell take on the role of Ben Richards, a role previously played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Joining Powell on the cast are stars including Josh Brolin, Karl Glusman, Colman Domingo, Michael Cera, Katy O’Brian, William H. Macy and Emilia Jones.

Wright has co-written the script for the film, which is currently set for release on November 21, alongside Michael Bacall.

Speaking previously about Wright's screenplay, Powell told IndieWire: "The world that Edgar’s developed on this thing is just outrageous."

He continued: "It’s so good. And really, we’re just both such big fans of the Stephen King book [the movie is based on], and it’s going to be a great character. I’m so fired up about it."

"The fact that I get to work with him right now is just so damn cool," he added. "Edgar has also become a friend in the last few years. So that’s been really fun for us to finally get in the trenches together."

The Running Man is slated for release on November 7, 2025.
