Final Destination: Bloodlines has been confirmed for a slightly earlier release in the UK.

The sixth film in the horror franchise had been announced for a May 16 release in both the UK and the US, but in the UK it's been brought forward by two days, launching on May 14.

Bloodlines serves as a revival of the film franchise, which hasn't had a film since 2011. This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the original.

This newest film has been written by Lori Evans Taylor and Ready or Not's Guy Busick, based on a treatment by MCU Spider-Man trilogy director Jon Watts, while Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein shared directing duties.

Craig Perry returned as producer after having worked on all five previous films.

In 2020, Perry told Digital Spy that they were considering having the new film centred in "the world of first responders".

These people deal with death on the front lines every day, and make choices that can cause people to live or die," he said at the time.

Final Destination: Bloodlines releases on May 14 in the UK and May 16 in the US. Films 1-3 and 5 are available to stream for Netflix subscribers in the UK.
