Drop, the new mystery-thriller starring Meghann Fahy and Brandon Sklenar, opened to a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes following its premiere.
The film, which has been directed by Christopher Langdon (Happy Death Day, Freaky), sees The White Lotus star Fahy play a widowed mother who goes on a date with Sklenar’s Henry, only to be threatened by an anonymous messenger who orders her to kill Henry.
Ahead of its theatrical release next month, Drop premiered on Sunday (March 9) at the South by Southwest Festival (SXSW), opening to rave reviews as it scored a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes upon the site’s first publishing of the reviews.

What to Read Next
Variety
"A silly, pulpy mystery entirely sure of its own conceit, Drop combines tech paranoia and the looming spectre of abuse to create something surprisingly taut and entertaining."
The Hollywood Reporter
"There’s a campiness to Drop’s drama that makes the whole affair kind of silly, but Fahy’s performance sells us on it."
Awards Buzz
"Drop is equal parts enthralling and over-the-top, taking considerable leaps in logic to construct its premise but wasting no time in diving right into the intensity and inescapability of the situation."

Vulture
"It’s a perfectly preposterous set-up for a thriller, but the core of Fahy’s agonizingly distracted performance is something real and recognizable."
The Guardian
"Just enough flourishes, an enjoyable but not unbearable amount of stress, no wasted time, a perfect match of star, script and style. For those who sort for lean and limber in their thrillers, Drop is a date worth making."
IndieWire
"We should have nothing but gratitude for a movie that has almost zero bloat and tells an effective, original story in 90 minutes, even if this sleek package is made up of some shop-worn tropes."
Drop releases is in cinemas on April 11.
