Danny Dyer's "clever" and "funny" one-man thriller Three Quick Breaths has shared a first look image along with an exciting update.

Directed by Brendan Muldowney and penned by Peter Howlett, Dyer has begun shooting the film with principal photography already underway in Ireland.

The film sees Dyer take on the role of "an old school football agent" named Jimmy Banks.

Per the film's synopsis, Banks "desperately needs to get his star footballer one last big payday before Jimmy’s life, and his player's reputation, comes tumbling down. A fast paced, pressure cooker thriller, the film plunges into the seedy and exhilarating world of football agents who live for the big deals and will torch everything else down in pursuit of them."

Dyer said: "Shooting Three Quick Breaths in Ireland has been an incredible experience so far – even if most of my time is spent locked in Jimmy Banks' office! Jimmy's a character who's juggling chaos, but there's so much depth to him – this is a very rare opportunity as an actor to be the only performer in a film.

Meanwhile, director Brendan Muldowney added: "I am so excited to be working on Peter's amazing script for Three Quick Breaths. It is a funny, thrilling and surprisingly moving, adrenaline fuelled story, and James 'Jimmy' Banks is one of the best characters I've ever read in a script.

"One actor, one location thrillers are incredibly intense and I can't wait to work with Danny on bringing 'Jimmy Banks' to life in all his glory."

Dyer recently opened up about the film on his Live and Let Dyers podcast saying he had to undergo a "very in depth medical" as he is the only star of the film.

Before Three Quick Breaths arrives, we'll next be seeing Dyer in new British comedy Marching Powder, which lands in cinemas next month.

Three Quick Breaths does not yet have a release date.
