An acclaimed murder mystery series set in small-town America has found a new streaming home in the UK. Originally released in 2018, One Dollar centres on a one-dollar bill as it changes hands, drawing a bloody connection among different characters.
Created by Jason Mosberg and directed by Mare of Easttown's Craig Zobel, the series stars John Carroll Lynch as Bud Carl, the owner of Carl Steel, a steel mill in Braden, Pennsylvania. Described as "a forgotten rust belt town in post-recession America", Braden becomes the location of a "bloody multiple murder" involving different characters.
The series, cancelled after just one season at CBS, has now being added to ITVX in the UK.
Comprised of a total of ten episodes, One Dollar focuses on a different character's perspective in each chapter, with secrets coming to light and Braden's class and cultural divides being exposed.
Alongside John Carroll Lynch, One Dollar also stars Philip Ettinger as Garrett, a struggling single father, and Nathaniel Martello-White as Jake, a private investigator determined to solve the case.
The cast is rounded out by Christopher Denham as Peter Trask, Leslie Odom Jr as Randall Abatsy, Greg Germann as Wilson Furlbee, Kaydx as Rook, and Gracie Lawrence as Julie Gardner.

Despite being given the axe after just one season, One Dollar has a critic rating of 80% out of 10 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, with the aggregator's consensus describing the series as a "compelling murder mystery" boasting a "slew of earthy performances".
Also streaming on ITVX soon after a long wait is the fourth season of thriller The Affair, starring Ruth Wilson and Dominic West as two married characters getting embroiled in a passionate secret fling behind their spouses' backs.
Originally aired between 2014 and 2019, the series also stars Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson and, much like One Dollar, features a different character's perspective in each episode.
Season four of the show created by Sarah Treem and Hagai Levi is set to drop on ITVX on 5 July, joining the first three seasons which are currently available on the same platform.
One Dollar starts streaming on ITVX on 23 August.
