Season four of The Affair, the "compelling" and "addictive" drama starring Ruth Wilson, has confirmed its UK streaming date after a wait.
The Showtime series, which ran for five seasons between 2014 and 2019, recently landed a new streaming home in the UK after seasons one to three were added to ITVX in March.
Fans watching there have had a bit of a wait, but ITVX has now announced the release date for season four, confirming that it will be available to stream from the first week of July.

Starring Wilson and Dominic West as Alison Bailey and Noah Solloway, respectively, the show follows the two as they embark on an extramarital affair.
The series explores the emotional and psychological effects of the affair that destroyed two marriages, until a crime brings them back together.

Per the synopsis: "Season 4 finds Noah, Helen (Maura Tierney), Alison, and Cole (Joshua Jackson) in their own orbits, alienated from each other, spinning further and further away from where they all began.
"Every character is involved in a new relationship, forcing them each to decide if they’re ready and willing to leave the past behind for good – with a season about new beginnings, tragic ends and the ever-elusive possibility of forgiveness."
Created by Sarah Treem and Hagai Levi, The Affair was a hit with critics and currently holds a 90% score on Rotten Tomatoes from 130 reviews.
"The murder mystery is compelling, parcelled out with expert timing in tiny clues, and the psychology is fascinating," wrote Entertainment Weekly.
"West and Wilson are astonishing, depicting not one but two three-dimensional characters as viewed through their own (as yet unexplained) biases, and sharing the sort of chemistry they don't teach at school," penned The Daily Telegraph.
Viewers also enjoyed the show, which has an average user rating of 7.9/10 from 52,000 logs on IMDb, with one user writing: "It's an addictive show to watch, certainly because the way the story is been told. The plot unfolds slowly by telling the story... Each character sees or remembers the story differently and that's what made this show stands out from the rest."
The Affair seasons 1-3 are streaming now on ITVX. Season 4 drops in July.
