If you're looking for some easy yet compelling viewing for Friday night, British drama Signora Volpe blends picturesque Italian scenery with high drama. Starring Emilia Fox, the series is available to watch for free on streaming service U.
Season one clocks in at an easily-bingeable three episodes, with season two expanding to six episodes. Plus, if the series takes your fancy, a third season is on the way with filming having taken place last year.

Signora Volpe follows the Silent Witness star as the similarly named Sylvia Fox, a former British spy looking to settle down and start a new life in Panicale, Italy. But trouble seems to follow Sylvia, who ends up becoming a "spy-turned-detective" as she gets involved in solving local crimes.
The series was created by Rachel Cuperman and Sally Griffiths, with season one originally airing on Acorn in 2022 and a second season following in 2024.

Emilia Fox leads the cast alongside Giovanni Cirfiera, who you may know as Santo Versace from The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. Waking the Dead and Game of Thrones actor Tara Fitzgerald also stars.
