Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming thriller series Wayward, starring Taskmaster winner Mae Martin.
The trailer, which you can watch above, shows Martin's officer Alex Dempsey investigating a series of unusual incidents in the small town of Tall Pines.
The incidents seems to lead to Evelyn Wade (played by Toni Collette), the principal of a mysterious teen school set to "solve the problem of adolescence". After crossing paths with two students desperate to escape, the young officer realises something is wrong with the place.
"In the picture-perfect town of Tall Pines, sinister secrets lurk behind every closed door," reads the logline, which teases a "thrilling" and "genre-bending" show ahead of its September release.
Martin, who serves as a showrunner alongside Ryan Scott, is joined in the cast by Toni Collette, Brandon Jay McLaren, Sarah Gadon and Patrick J Adams.

Speaking to Tudum, Martin described Wayward as an "insane rollercoaster" that was "so different to anything" they had made in their career.
The goal of the show, Martin explained, was to capture the feeling of "adolescence", saying: "I often talk around adolescence or I write characters who are processing their teens - it was such an intense time for me.
"I've always known I wanted to more directly dive into that time and all the visceral feelings of adolescence. I was a wayward teen in the early 2000s, and my best friend was sent to one of these troubled teen institutes… she came back and had just the craziest stories about it."

Following the release of Wayward, Netflix will release two more crime stories in early October – the third season of Monster and Keira Knightley's The Woman in Cabin 10.
Officially titled The Original Monster, the new season of the anthology series will focus on the murders committed by famed serial killer Ed Gein (played by Charlie Hunnam) in 1950s Wisconsin.
The Woman in Cabin 10 is based on Ruth Ware's novel of the same name, and follows a journalist who boards a luxury yacht where a dangerous cat-and-mouse game is about to start.
Wayward will premiere on Netflix on 25 September.
