Abbott Elementary has had its future confirmed, with the show being renewed for a fifth season by ABC.
The mockumentary sitcom follows Janine Teagues (Quinta Brunson) and her fellow staff at the titular school as they attempt to navigate underfunding and misbehaviour all in the presence of a documentary filmmaking crew.
Following four successful seasons, fans were eager to know if there would be future instalments, and they now have their answer after Variety reported that the show had been renewed for a fifth season, with a release aimed for the end of the year.

In addition to Brunson, who also created the show, the cast includes Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, Sheryl Lee Ralph and William Stanford Davis, with all parties set to reprise their roles once more.
Whilst the fifth season is still to come, fans of the show still have several episodes to view, with the series currently in the midst of its fourth season.
