Quinta Brunson is unstoppable and ABC has taken note, confirming that Abbott Elementary has been renewed for a third season.
As soon as the show came out it gained a loyal fanbase, thanks to a magical mix of wit, humour, drama and faultless acting.
And, the mockumentary proved a winner with critics and awards shows, too, having won a slew of accolades including an incredible three Golden Globes just this week.

According to Deadline, Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group (which co-produces Abbott Elementary in partnership with 20th Television) said of the good news: "This renewal is a richly deserved feather in the cap of Quinta Brunson, Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Randall Einhorn, as well as the rest of the cast and crew of Abbott Elementary.
"Each week, this talented group of artists celebrates true unsung heroes – public school teachers. And for some extra icing on the renewal cake, our favourite group of teachers was honoured this morning with two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations and last night with three Golden Globe Awards.

For the rest of season two, we can expect Quinta Brunson's Janine Teagues to go on a journey of self-discovery while still juggling her personal and professional life.
Brunson said: "To me, Janine is now on a journey of finding herself. She's been with this person for years. 10 years. And for the first time, she is a single adult, and now she has space to discover what that means."
Seems like a good foundation for season three (and, hopefully, beyond.)
Abbott Elementary airs on ABC in the US, and is available on Disney+ in the UK.
