Disney+ has given its UK viewers a gold star or two, as break-out hit Abbott Elementary is now available to stream on the platform.
Previously, Abbott Elementary had only been available in other territories via the subscription service, but now Disney+ has welcomed the series to its UK roster.
The first season, which airs on ABC in the US, joined the platform yesterday (June 1), so here's hoping the now officially green-lit second season follows its lead.
For those of you haven't yet heard of Abbott Elementary, the series is billed as a "workplace comedy following a group of dedicated, passionate teachers – and a slightly tone-deaf principal – as they navigate the Philadelphia public school system."

The official synopsis continues: "Despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life, and though these incredible public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do – even if they don't love the school district's less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children."

Last week, Abbott Elementary creator Quinta Brunson – who also plays second-grade teacher Janine Teagues – hit back at fans who have asked for "a school shooting episode".
Her comments followed the tragedy at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, where 21 people, including 19 young children, were killed.

"Wild how many people have asked for a school shooting episode of the show I write," she said on Twitter.
"People are that deeply removed from demanding more from the politicians they've elected and are instead demanding 'entertainment.' I can't ask 'Are y'all OK' anymore because the answer is 'no'."
Abbott Elementary airs on ABC in the US, and is available on Disney+ in the UK.
