Love Island has officially confirmed the return of Casa Amor, with the iconic twist set to shake-up the ITV dating show during Sunday's (28 June) instalment. Following another dramatic week of explosive challenges and emotional confrontations, the remaining islanders are about to face the ultimate test as the Villa opens its doors to a new roster of bombshells.

The preview, which aired at the end of Friday's (26 June) instalment after a dramatic recoupling, teased the long-awaited return of Casa Amor, leaving the islanders completely unaware that their connections are about to be put under intense pressure.

First featured on the show in 2017, Casa Amor has become one of the franchise's biggest and most anticipated twists. The format sees the boys and girls separated into different villas before meeting a brand new line-up of bombshells - and potential love interests.

The twist has been responsible for some of Love Island's most memorable moments over the years, with unexpected recouplings, dramatic reunions and heartbreak regularly following in its wake.

This year's Casa Amor arrives at a particularly tense moment in the competition. Several couples have already shown signs of cracks following challenges that have raised the temperature in the Villa - from the 'Heart Rate Challenge' to 'Tea, Receipts and Truth'.
