The dust has settled on the dramas of Netflix's Temptation Island season 2 after the show aired a two-part reunion for the four couples putting their relationships to the ultimate test.

Season 2 — or season 10, if we're counting the seasons previously aired on Fox and USA in the US — of the Netflix reality TV show served fans a hefty dose of twists and turns before the pairs decided whether they want to stay together or start anew. While one couple stayed together, there was someone who opted to leave the show with a tempter after they pursued a romantic connection.

Days after the reunion, Netflix has given us a few more details about what the couples are up to now. Are Sydney and tempter Xzavier still an item? And have Scarlett and Cole smoothed their differences? Read on to find out more about Temptation Island season 2.

Kaylee and Summit

No huge surprises here as Kaylee and Summit had already left the island together — the only couple to give their romance another go after Temptation Island. The duo were also possibly the only couple who enjoyed the final bonfire as Kaylee said they were "so excited" to tell "everything" to their partner that they ended up not sleeping.

"We literally didn't sleep after the final bonfire because we were so excited to tell each other everything we learned, experienced, and felt. We tackled any and all questions we had for each other and felt so at peace," she told Tudum, with Summit adding: "We didn't leave the island just talking — we left with intention."

In the finale, Summit showed his commitment to Kaylee by gifting her a dog collar and a key to symbolise their plans of moving in together in California and become dog parents. While those plans haven't come to fruition just yet, the couple appears to be a in a good place.

"Now, it's not about if I can commit, it's about who's worth it. And Kaylee makes that an easy decision," Summit said.

"We spend quality time together, travel, and support each other in every way we can. We are truly a team," Kaylee agreed. "He improves my life in every way."

Kaylee also opened up about discussing her insecurities and needs for reassurance with host Mark L Walberg, and how that has helped her and Summit navigate that aspect of their relationship.

"Summit makes me feel like the sexiest woman on earth now. He learned a lot from his conversations with Mark. I'm forever thankful for that," Kaylee said as Mark acknowledged: "She knows her worth, and she moves like it. She stopped asking for reassurance and started expecting respect."

As the couple maintains they're now building "something real", it seems that the experiment was successful.

Shyanne and Jack

For one couple that recommitted to each other on the show, there were others who understood they'd better off their separate ways, with Shyanne and Jack being one of them.

The couple of five years came to the realisation that they had been engaging in a toxic cycle of "tit for tat," as Shyanne called it, following her cheating on Jack years prior.

After choosing to split up at the final bonfire, Shyanne and Jack had a conversation about everything that happened behind the scenes of the show.

"When I got off the flight, and we had the conversation, it was more of just like, a, 'You need to tell me everything that you did, and I'll tell you everything that I did,'" Shyanne explained. Apparently, Jack did share everything, even moments that weren't shown on screen, saying: "I kissed everyone."

At the reunion, the now-exes addressed their dramatic one-upping one another, with Shyanne saying: "If I do something, he's going to do something back."

"If he does something back, I'm going to do something," she continued.

She also explained that while she and Jack decided not to bring up her past cheating on the show, Jack returned on it after he kissed temptress Carter in order to make himself look "like a better person".

Despite their disagreements and questionable patterns, Shyanne still holds hope for a romantic reunion.

"If everything could go my way, I would want to be with Jack," Shyanne said at the reunion. "I would want to try again, but right now just isn't the time. That's not to say that it couldn't happen later on down the road."

For his part, Jack shared his biggest takeaway from the show, saying: "Don't take anything for granted, especially your partner."

Scarlett and Cole

They might've not seen eye to eye at the final bonfire, but Scarlett and Cole decided to give their two-year relationship another chance after she initially chose to leave the show on her own.

The time off their romance has paid off as Scarlett revealed they're now "in a really great place".

"I knew I didn’t want to return to the same relationship we had prior to the island," she said. "We took some time and space after and really put work into ourselves and got clear on what we wanted. We decided that our relationship is worth the hard work and are currently together and in a really great place."

Cole has learnt to sit with his emotions within his bond with Scarlett, saying: "It gave me a new perspective on my relationship for sure and helped me to evolve. It made me stronger and open up more."

The couple still live together and continue to work on their relationship after Temptation Island.

"There are always obstacles, but it comes down to whether you're willing to face them together, grow from them, and come out stronger as a team," Cole said.

Sydney and Mikey

The couple were at the centre of the biggest twist of the season when Sydney chose to leave the island with tempter Xzavier. Another twist followed when Mikey revealed that he and Sydney got back together after the show and "it was good for a while".

The post-island bliss didn't last, however, as they both came to the realisation their relationship wasn't working anymore.

Sydney had a different account of how things went down after Temptation Island, saying she "had to stand [her] ground" with Mikey.

"I had to tell him, 'Hey, clearly I'm not talking to you for a reason, and I need you to respect that,'" she said.

She addressed Mikey's flirting with other women on the show, expressing regret over giving the romance a second chance.

"I made my decision, and I really wish that, after the show, I stuck with it, but I think Mikey has ways of talking to me and getting me to see things not for what they actually are," she said.

Mikey has now started doing therapy "consistently" and is getting more comfortable "feelings all the feelings", while Shyanne has rekindled her connection with Xzavier.

"Once I talked about what I needed to talk about with Mikey, dated, figured it out, and realised that it was still the same as before the island, I reached back out to Xzavier, and I was like, 'Hey, would you be open to grab coffee?'" Sydney explained.

Since then, they have been "figuring things out" as Sydney admits she could see them "being together" in the future.

She added: "I think the biggest thing I learned was to make myself the centre of my life and not my relationship."
