Love Island viewers have weighed in on a shock kiss between islanders Shakira and Blu.

During the final moments of tonight's (11 June) episode, Blu asked Shakira to join him in the Hideaway for a chat, but it wasn't long before their talk turned into a surprise kiss between the two.

Viewers had mixed opinions on the kiss, with Blu coupled up with Alima and Shakira partnered with Harry. The kiss also took place moments after Shakira spoke with Harry about his flirting with fellow islander Helena, where she admitted that her "guard was up" after seeing him stroke Helena's leg.

"Can't believe how quickly things change," one viewer commented on the official Love Island Instagram page, while others made it clear they were a fan of the new pairing.

"Here for shakira and blu," wrote one fan, with another adding: "I knew from the start shakira and blu are gonna be a thing."

One viewer joked about the love triangle being "a square now" between Shakira, Blue, Harry and Helena.

Others also commented on the timing of the kiss, following Shakira's chat with Tom.

"How’s shakira calling her man out whilst she’s kissing other man," commented one Love Island fan on the official social media page. "No leg touching but you can snog someone else...? I do love shakira and Blu together tho!"

One viewer felt the need to offer some perspective to fellow viewers in the comments section after people were divided post-kiss.

"I wish everyone would realise it’s DAY THREE 😩 who cares who’s talking to who right now?" they wrote. "Everyone needs to stop being territorial and explore connections like you’re meant to instead of their pride letting them feel ‘mugged off’ because a person you’ve known 72 hours isn’t fully committed to you!"

Will Shakira and Blu's kiss be revealed to the other islanders tomorrow?

Love Island airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
