ITV series The Fortune Hotel has confirmed that it will be back on screens very soon – and with some "devious surprises" in store.

The Stephen Mangan-hosted Traitors-esque show follows contestants at a Caribbean resort as they try to whittle down who has a briefcase containing £250,000, doing challenges in the process.

The show debuted last year and was quickly renewed for a second run – and now the broadcaster has confirmed that it will return this summer.

ITV has also promised "all-new vital challenges", "never-before-seen twists" and "high-stakes deception" this time around.

This includes new Day Trip challenges containing "devious surprises", updated Room Service games taking place around the hotel, as well as more "sneaky surprises".

A new vodcast called Late Check Out has also been announced, which will be hosted by Ellie Taylor and drop after every episode, promising interviews with eliminated contestants and special guests alongside behind the scenes gossip. Fans will also see Mangan reacting to Night Caps, and eliminated pairs discovering who was holding the money.

"I am absolutely thrilled to have returned to the sunshine to check in a new set of unsuspecting guests to The Fortune Hotel," Mangan said.

"The stakes are higher, the games are bigger, and the twists are even more unexpected. I can't wait for viewers to witness all the drama, the laughter, and jeopardy of the high-stakes competition this time around. It's going to be quite the ride!"

Director of Reality Commissioning & Acquisitions at ITV Paul Mortimer added: "The Fortune Hotel captivated audiences with its unique blend of strategy, suspense, and sunshine in its first outing, and we’re delighted to welcome it back to ITV1 and ITVX for a second, even more dramatic series.
