The Traitors UK season 3 finale spoilers follow.

The Traitors star Alexander Dragonetti has thanked fans for their support after the airing of the finale.

Alexander was one of the most doubted players in this season, having missed the first few days of the game, and believed by his fellow Faithfuls – especially Leanne – to be a Traitor, not helped by him surviving the Death Game (and occasionally saying things that landed himself in hot water).

In an Instagram video recorded at a hotel during a show afterparty, Alexander said: "I just wanted to say thank you for all of your incredible support through this process. It's been kind of a whirlwind.

"All the support has meant a huge amount to me, and made the process so much more fun and so much easier, and I'm hugely grateful for your support, so thank you."

While his fellow Faithfuls distrusted him, and eventually banished him in the finale, Alexander rivals Linda in terms of online popularity.

On the final episode of The Traitors: Uncloaked, Claudia Winkleman apologised for telling people that Alexander was single. She didn't say whether he actually was single or not, but apologised because people got very thirsty over him.

Claudia said: "I'm so sorry that I reported to the group that you were single. I've had more messages about you, you are... you're king!" King being the nickname people have given him on social media.

Finalist Francesca also spoke about Alexander's popularity, telling him: "All my divorced friends have Whatsapped me like 'Can I have his number?'"

Seasons 1-3 of The Traitors UK can be streamed on iPlayer now. Season 3 of The Traitors US has just added the first five episodes to the service, and will drop new episodes on Friday mornings, just one day after America.
