Former Love Island contestant Anna Vakili has revealed why she pulled out of All Stars.

The star previously appeared on the 2019 season of the ITV2 dating show, though has explained in a new podcast chat her reasons for turning the latest season down.

"I don't really see it as an opportunity, I look at previous Love Island: All Stars and I don't think it did anything for any of them," she told sister Mandi on Sisters in the City.

"In terms of me finding someone on there, it's very, very slim."

Anna mused that it would not have "benefitted" her financially, before adding: "The kind of man I want to settle down with wouldn't really want a woman that's going on Love Island. I feel that's such a f**ked up thing to say but that's the truth.

"For example, when I went on in 2019, I had to go on because we were in a bad financial place. It changed my life, it changed our family's life, it served its purpose. Going on there now, is just being greedy. The guy that I would want to marry now would look down on that."

Anna went on to reveal that she weighed up returning to the villa over the past few months, and got "very far down the line" in the process, though a reunion with her boyfriend Cowslick proved to be a key factor in ultimately saying no.

"I was literally this close to going on," she said. "I'll be honest though, even [with] all of those things that I've stated, I still would've gone on."

Anna explained that through the last few months of 2024 she and Cowslick were on and off romantically, so she decided she would join the series... until she and her boyfriend rekindled their romance again.

"In the end I had decided to do it, and then he turned up. So what I'm saying is that even though it isn't for me and it served its purpose, the main reason I didn't actually go through with it was because of him."

The star further admitted it "wasn't meant to be", though teased that there is "always All Stars next year".

ITV had no comment when contacted by Digital Spy.
