Peter Andre has issued a statement on his decision not to take part in Katie Price's new documentary Nothing to Hide. Released today, the docuseries features interviews with those closest to the celebrity icon, including Katie and Peter's shared children Junior and Princess.

However, Peter is notably absent, despite the third episode focusing on the former couple's relationship in the noughties.

In a statement at the end of the episode, the 'Mysterious Girl' singer says: "I have chosen not to speak publicly about these matters out of love and respect for Junior and Princess.

Nothing to Hide looks back at Katie's career, and includes unseen footage alongside testimony from those around the star.

What to Read Next

The four-part series includes "new and revealing perspectives" that provide "raw and first-time context to a turbulent life lived in the public eye", and "promises to go beyond the headlines to deliver a revealing portrait of one of Britain’s most enduring celebrity figures".

Produced by Louis Theroux's Mindhouse, critics have already called it "fascinating" and "heartbreaking" in first reviews.

The Guardian labelled the series "a sensitive and rigorous account of the former glamour model’s first 23 or so years", while Metro said that "seeing Katie’s striking vulnerability and accountability has been a long time coming".

However, Grazia argued that it is "impossible to escape the sense that what has been billed as a ‘candid and unfiltered account’ of its subject’s fame is ultimately just an exercise in reputation management".

In a previous statement, Mindhouse's Arron Fellows teased: "This series doesn't shy away from — in Katie's own words — 'the good, the bad and the ugly'; and this is an unexpected re-appraisal of a woman many people feel they have already figured out."

Katie Price: Nothing to Hide will be released on Sky and NOW today.
