Netflix is removing The Forsyte Saga, the early 2000s adaptation of John Galsworthy's novel series which stars Homeland's Damian Lewis, Line of Duty's Gina McKee, Sherlock's Rupert Graves, Bad Boys: Ride or Die's Ioan Gruffudd, and Andor's Ben Miles, in a few weeks.

The show ran for two seasons on ITV across 2002 and 2003, and was added to Netflix UK on 12 June last year. It's highly likely that it will be removed a year to the day, although if you don't get around to watching all 10 episodes by then, there's another option.

The show is also available in full on ITVX, which is free with ads on its base tier.

The series chronicles the ups and downs of three generations of the titular family from the 1870s to the 1920s, with Damian Lewis starring as Soames Forsyte, an arrogant man views his wife Irene as more of a possession than a person.

The book series has more recently been adapted into The Forsytes on 5 (previously Channel 5), which stars Doctor Who's Millie Gibson and Home and Away's Joshua Orpin.

What to Read Next

The first season premiered in October last year, by which point season 2 had already been filmed, meaning we should expect new episodes later this year.

A third season has already been confirmed, taking it ahead of the 2000s version.

Earlier this month, Lewis was confirmed to be cast in new thriller The Return of Stanley Atwell opposite Masters of the Universe's Nicholas Galitzine.

The film focuses on the titular character as he escapes imprisonment after 10 years and, having been presumed dead, finds that his fortune is set to go elsewhere. But he intends to fight for it, using any means necessary.

The Forsyte Saga is available on Netflix for a limited time, and also on ITVX.
