Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere, the new documentary that the seasoned journalist is fronting for Netflix, has confirmed a release date with a first-look teaser trailer. A year on from the streamer's global hit Adolescence, Theroux will investigate the "extreme end of the Manosphere" in this feature-length 90 minute episode.
The synopsis reveals that the film "explores how key figures, including Harrison Sullivan (AKA HS Tikky Tokky), Myron Gaines, Nicolas Kenn De Balinthazy (AKA Sneako), Justin Waller and Ed Matthews, are helping to reshape young men's ideas about masculinity and fuelling a resurgent global men's rights movement".
The streamer has revealed that Louis "immerses himself in their ecosystem encountering prominent figures within the movement, each presenting their own interpretations of traditional gender roles and values".
Inside The Manosphere is also set to examine popular terms – such as "red-pilling" – that you may remember were touched on as part of Adolescence's storytelling – as well as going on to explore "the appeal of these ideas and attitudes, as well as the perspectives of the women in their lives who appear to support them".
According to Deadline, filming for this documentary pre-dated the release of Adolescence, but Theroux has spoken about how they connect topically.

"It's sort of nothing like Adolescence but it's in the precinct of what the boy in Adolescence might have been watching," he told the publication. "I guess Adolescence was a proof of concept, but I don't ever think we needed a proof of concept. We knew it was a hot subject."
When Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne's scripted drama released on Netflix in March of 2025, it soon became a cultural moment that sparked widespread debate around the socialisation of young boys, online influences and masculinity. These themes and conversations are clearly just as topical right now.
Netflix's Inside The Manosphere has been produced by Mindhouse Productions, a company founded by Theroux and fellow filmmakers Arron Fellows and Nancy Strang.
While it's the first Netflix documentary to be fronted by Theroux, who spent a large portion of his career making content for the BBC, Mindhouse previously brought the two-part series Can I Tell You A Secret? to the streaming platform.
Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere will launch globally on 11 March, 2026.
