Netflix might've just dropped your next binge watch with Dutch crime drama Amsterdam Empire, starring Famke Janssen as a woman hellbent on revenge.
Announced last year as a "captivating" crime series set in the coffee shops of the Dutch capital, Amsterdam Empire is now available to stream on Netflix.
Created by Nico Moolenaar, Bart Uytdenhouwen and Piet Matthys, the seven-part crime drama stars Jacob Derwig as Jack van Doorn, the founder of coffeeshop empire The Jackal.
Jack has become rich and famous by fighting off criminals, competitors and Dutch laws, but his empire is threatened when his affair with a well-known journalist is exposed.
As his wife, former popstar Betty (Janssen) learns about his infidelity, she's set to use all his secrets and take advantage of his weak spots to take his empire from him.

"I am beyond excited to return home to the Netherlands for my very first Dutch role!" Janssen said in a statement.
"It's an honour to have the opportunity to work with Nico Moolenaar and the rest of this talented team. I am grateful to be back in business with Netflix once again and to be part of this truly captivating story set in the beautiful city of Amsterdam. The city that has my heart."
The role of Betty was created with Janssen in mind, explained creator and executive producer Moolenaar: "It has been a long-time ambition to bring our national treasure, Famke Janssen, back to the Netherlands to see her act in a Dutch production for the first time in her illustrious career," the creator said when the series was announced.
"Betty was written with Famke in mind, and I am thrilled that she's willing to embark on this adventure with us."
Moolenar has worked with Netflix before on series Undercover and prequel movie Ferry, both starring Elise Schaap, who also features on Amsterdam Empire.
"After spending years in the world of Ferry Bouwman, it is exciting to create a new universe," Moolenar said.
"As always, I do this with my regular partners in crime, Piet Matthys and Bart Uytdenhouwen, on my side. I am privileged to add the wonderfully talented Jonas Govaerts to the team. Please stay tuned for more updates as we assemble a stellar cast and crew."
Released today, Amsterdam Empire also stars Jade Olieberg as Katja van Doorn, Yannick van de Velde as Erik Ketels, and Jesse Mensah as Patrick van Doorn.
